Impressive App! Fast and practical

I had to convert almost 500 webP images into JPG images and this app did it in incredible 22 seconds! I just follewed the steps I found on the internet: 1) Drag and drop the webp files into the program interface. They should be listed with their name and a thumbnail preview. 2) Switch to the output tab and select the format that you want the images to be converted to (e.g. jpg). You can change the output folder and naming scheme as well if you want but that is optional. If you dont make any changes the converted files are saved in the same directory as the source files. 3) Click on the convert button.

Perfect!

Works very fast and supports conversion of .gif files. Thank you for this great piece of software!

Good

Good tool, but there would be room for improvements. For the image rotating for example it would be very nice if one could define the "origin x/y" that should be used for rotation. But nevertheless a very useful tool!

Crashes when adding files

Adding a file with drag&drop does not work at all. Adding a single file through the dialog (I tried .png and .jpg) and the app crashes (always!) So for me downloading this had been a waste of time...

Very useful!

I have been using this tool to batch convert PNG files to JPEGs with a bit of resizing. This tool has saved me lots of time! Lots of other commands that you can issue in the tool!

works great

i croped 700 images in 2 min, heck of a lot faster then doing it manually

Conversion was fast and fantastic

Saved me hours and was able to convert 10 years of photos from 10s to gigs to under 300MB, for browsing on a picture frame. Fantastic utility.

Amazing Productivity Tool

I process around 300 images for print & web use. After processing the resulting 16 bit TIF’s need to be converted to JPEG for posting on the web. With a couple of clicks in XNconvert, the images are resampled, resized and ready for delivery. It is lightening fast and can chug through 900+ images in a matter of seconds. Great too and kudos to the developers for a great tool and time saver

Doesn’t handle FPX files, despite the website saying it does

This was a waste of time, trying to convert old Kodak FPX files to something readable. With over 500 file formats that the program supports, FPX isn’t among them, even though the website says it will both read and write in this format. The program tells me that the image is "not a picture.” Not only doesn’t it recognize the image format coming in, the list of output formats doesn’t include FPX either, not that you’d want to convet images to that format anyway. The website simply has wrong information, and it makes me distrustful of any of the other 500 formats the app says it supports.

Great results, easy to use

Very fast conversion, easy to understand UI and FREE ... Merci! Pierre Gougelet

The Best Image Compression App Ive Ever Used!

Ok, so, I am a developer and have always been in search of a quick yet effective way to batch compress images, like .png files. I finally found XnConvert, and thank god I did! It takes outrageously large 24-bit images from the new motion 5, or photoshop, and "crushes" them upwards of 60%, yeah, believe it. However, PLEASE update with the ability to overwrite the same (existing) files of an entire batch. Now I have to verify EVERY item in a batch-not ideal. But, I am gonna leave a 5 star rating in the hopes Gougelet Pierre delivers on my request ;)

Saved my bacon

I work for a PBS station and we are going to do a sports show with 10 flat panel HDTVs. Its a "talking head" show and we going to have still photos fading in and out on the monitors in the background behind the talent. The HDTVs we are using (SONY BRAVIA) can dispaly a slideshow of photos from a USB drive. The problem with the BRAVIA is that it will only display photo JPEGs straight from a digital SLR camera. If you crop the photo and resave it in Photoshop as a JPEG, it wont display on the BRAVIA (come on SONY!). It kinda made our 10 HDTVs useless. This program allowed me to resave the photos in the digital camera JPEG format and solved a major problem for our station. The "batch" convert is excellent! Great App!!

PCDs no more!!

Two clicks: one to import the files the other to convert them. The converted pictures appeared in the same folder alongside thier old PCD counterparts. Worked perfectly!! Thank you.

Worked Exactly As Promised

I couldnt beleive this was a free program, but it worked exactly as promised, no frills, no fuss. Chewed through a batch of 115 raw images and spit them back out into jpg format, no problem. The only reason I gave four stars was because I think the program could be a little more user friendly (although, if youre trying to convert images from RAW, you probably know what youre doing). So far, Im loving it, and the price.

converted file formats very fast

The app was self explanatory to use upon opening with no need to read instructions or do any set up. It converted my images by the folder and allowed me to make a custom named new destination folder within the app (convient) and allowed me to keep the old name of image or create new custom name. I was able to plow thru all my conversions in less than 10 minutes including the download time of the app. This is a must have app for anyone working with a large number of photos. While there might be ways to do this with programs you already have - this app does it incredibly easy and fast! *converts all formats I tried including pds, eps, tiff, bmp, png, jpg except pdf (says it is not an image file so I guess it makes sense). *converts, resizes and renames hundreds of large files in less than a minute (chews thru hundreds of files 1-50mb in seconds as if they were nothing) *has a lot of batch actions that might be useful for some including (just to name a few) - image adjustments including watermark, resize, crop, canvas size, set dpi, rotate, clean meta data, change color depth -filters like sharpen, blur, emboss - tons of color adjustment options including contrast, levels, sepia, reduce noise - misc filters like swirl, wave, add noise, old camera, oil painting all batch processing can be done simultaneously. You just add each process to a list - make appropiate adjustments to each process (ex - select the width(px-percent-inches-etc), height, resample style(bilenear-nearest neighbor etc), mode(fit-fill etc), By far the most comprehensive list of options for easy and incredibly fast batch processing - (way faster than photoshop or bridge even if you dont include the time to open the program and set up the actions or scripts)

GREAT FOR THE PRICE OF FREE!

Did exactly what I needed it to. Only thing I would reccomend so far is to prompt with a warning after hitting the close button. I hit it by accident and it closed instantly. Also had it freeze up on me with a lot of files (a little over 200), but it still converted the files...just wasnt sure if it was all of them (too many pics which made it hard to tell which ones I was missing.) Cant complain too much for it being free and easy! Thanks!

Perfect

This app rocks. It converted hundreds of raw photos very quickly and its free. Lots of options and super simple interface. thanks so much for making it! and giving it away.

Nice options

This app works fast and i am impressed with the final results. Whats really nice is the amount of options and tweaks you can do to the images themselves. And free... this is a no brainer for batch image conversions.

Quick and easy-reminds of me of Irfanview

Ive been searching for a utilty that works like Irfanview in Windows. I own a lot of powerful software, Photoshop included, but frequently I just need to do something fast, say, converting a TIFF (from a screen grab) to a Jpeg. This does it really well. No hassle, no delay, totally straight-forward.

easy, clean, simple - AWESOME!!!

the interface is clean and simple and the overall funcitonality of the app is easy. for example, what would normally take an average person days to learn in those expensive photo editors can be done with ease with this app. this app seems to be a hidden gem in the app store, but FREE and functional was worth the time it took looking around to find something that did what i needed. i have purchased or used many different types of apps; one for batch resize, one for compress, one for…. this app rocks. i was able to remove all the others i had and replace them with ONE app that does it all.
